Next weekend marks the First Sunday of the Month Group Ride, and true to form, both PostMods chapters are riding out for an early afternoon meetup at McNear’s Saloon in Petaluma. Like every monthly group ride we host, next Sunday’s ride is free and open to the public. Club members shall eat for free so don’t forget to bring your challenge coin!
San Franciscan PostModsters and fellow scooterists are meeting at 10:30/10:45am at the Crissy Field Warming Hut Park Store and Cafe, with kickstands up at 11am sharp. Everyone should arrive with enough spare time to caffeinate, arrive warmly dressed in layers (for shedding as needed as the weather warms!), with a full tank of high octane. The club’s Field Marshal Marco Vazquez shall lead the charge as riders cross the Golden Gate Bridge, ride out Sir Francis Drake Blvd to Nicasio Valley Road, and into Petaluma for a 1:30pm late lunch.
Northern PostModsters and fellow scooterists shall meet up at the RevMoto clubhouse at 11/11:15am, with kickstands up at 11:30 sharp. Everyone should arrive fully caffeinated, warmly dressed in layers for shedding, with a full tank of high octane. We’ll roll outta town along Guerneville Road headed for Occidental Road, then find our way thru Occidental. We’ll sloooooowly wiggle our way over a short chunk of Coleman Valley Road then take Joy Road south to Bodega Hwy, where we’ll hop onto Highway 1 and point our scooters toward Tomales. From there, we’ll hang a left at Tomales Petaluma Road and find our way to McNear’s Saloon to join up with our southern scooterists at 1:30pm for a bite to eat and socializing.
The PostMods Scooter Club is growing in numbers, and we’re getting organized!
Beginning at 6am on Sunday March 1st and ending Saturday March 7th at 9pm, every coin-carrying PostMods member in good standing is asked to take a moment to vote for new officers and volunteers, and to weigh in on a few ride-related matters. Be on the lookout for an ElectionRunner email this week and don’t forget to vote online!
The PostMods Scooter Squad’s biennial fund raising raffle, this time for a brand new 2020 Vespa GTS300, is nearing the end and we need everyone’s help to sell the last of our raffle tickets!! With a grand prize valued at over $9000 including sales tax, destination charges, DMV fees and registration PAID IN FULL BY THE CLUB, each ticket sells for $50, with only 300 total tickets to be sold. Every penny raised by every ticket sold goes toward the club.
THE WINNING TICKET FOR A BRAND NEW VESPA GTS 300 SHALL BE DRAWN ON SATURDAY APRIL 4TH!! NEED NOT BE PRESENT TO WIN, BUT YOU’VE GOTTA HAVE A TICKET!!
Take some raffle tickets to work and hit up your coworkers at the water cooler. Hang flyers and post the news at school. See Pete for a handful of tickets and marketing materials and become part of our club’s sales team. For every 5 tickets you help the club sell, you get one for yourself!!
PostModster Christina Molcillo has taken up the task of helping members order PostMods t-shirts online. Click on the following link and order yours today!! Don’t forget: you can opt to add your coin number to the t-shirt. Don’t remember your coin number? Check the edge of your coin to find the small, laser-engraved 3-digit number on the coin you received when you became a club member.
Join your fellow PostModsters for food trucks, games, prizes and a Sunday group ride that’ll leave you speechless.
The PostMods are looking for volunteers to make this year’s team-based scavenger hunt the best one in our club’s history. Have a great idea? Let Pete know today!
Stay tuned as we pack hundreds of miles of riding, wine tastings, special events and a charity fund raiser into one long weekend. We’re looking for volunteers now!
