    11:15am – 3:00pm
    Sunday, March 7th

Hope you’re all enjoying the warm sunshine of this early Spring! If you’d like to get out for some fresh air and some safely, socially distanced scootering with friends, join the PostMods this Sunday as we wind along the backroads thru Occidental and Camp Meeker, on our way to a rest stop in Guerneville for a picnic lunch. We’ll roll outta the clubhouse lot at 11:30 am, planning for a Guerneville stop no later than 1pm. After an hour to rest and relax, we’ll hit the road (116, to be exact!) and roll back into Santa Rosa no later than 3pm.

RSVP FOR THIS SUNDAY’S GROUP RIDE

The fun kicks off as early as 11am in the Revolution Moto parking lot for tire pressure checks, photo ops, and a chance to buy raffle tickets for this month’s mini-fund raiser — (a newly arrived goodie to RevMoto!) with all proceeds benefitting the club.  We’ll have safety protocols in place, masks / face coverings shall be required, and the hand sanitizer shall be flowing freely.  Scooterists should arrive fully fueled up and caffeinated no later than 11:15am for a pre-ride safety meeting.   With kickstands up at 11:30am, we’ll head west outta Santa Rosa along 3rd St.

Hitting Occidental, we’ll roll northward along Bohemian Hwy en route to Hwy 116, where we’ll hang a right and meander our way into Guerneville.  We’ll find a place to post up as a group, breaking for an hour off the saddle for a picnic style lunch al fresco.  Be sure to pack a snack if you’d like and stow away a blanket or a chair that morning for distanced group noshing. There’ll be plenty of spots in Guerneville to grab food, from Big Bottom Market to Smart Pizza.

    YOU REALLY SHOULD RSVP.

As the crew mounts up around 2pm bound for home, we’ll head inland along Hwy 116 and take Guerneville Road into Santa Rosa.  This ride has been tailored for all riders of any skill level, and every scooterist from the beginner to the seasoned rider is welcome to join in on the fun.  share this email with a friend to get the word out about our monthly group rides around Sonoma County!

THE POSTMODS ARE RIDING AGAIN THIS SUNDAY!!

    11am – 3:30pm
    Sunday November 8th

We missed our First Sunday of the Month Group Ride for November yesterday but we’re making up for it next weekend– and if the weatherman is right, we’ll be enjoying some warmer-than-seasonal riding weather.  The first 25 scooterists to RSVP for the ride should arrive fueled up, well rested and alert, and should bring a bottle of water and a snack bar for pit stops.  We ask that everyone come equipped with a mask and observe proper socially distancing protocols when off their scooters.  Riders shall meet at 11am at the clubhouse (Revolution Moto) parking lot, with kickstands promptly up at 11:30.  The route is a combination of easy-paced highway riding along Highway 1 and Bodega Hwy, scenic backroad twisties outside Valley Ford and Tomales, and everything in between.  Total ride time shall be a short and sweet 64 miles and a total 2-1/2 hours in the saddle.  This month’s ride is designed for EVERYONE– from the total newbs to the advanced beginners to intermediates to seasoned riders — all are encouraged to RSVP for this month’s group ride.  Those interested in washing their bikes and checking their tire pressure before the day’s launch may do so from 10:30-11:15.  All washing materials shall be provided, courtesy of Revolution Moto.

RSVP FOR NEXT SUNDAY’S GROUP RIDE

This month, the PostMods will be hosting a VIP– Danny Patrick– hailing from the Pacific Northwest (Portland, OR) and RevMoto’s Regional Sales Representative for Vespa/Piaggio scooters.  Let’s do our best to impress him with our jaw-dropping NorCal countryside, as riders roll westward by way of West College Ave, bearing a right then a left onto Guerneville Road and riding out of town then thru Graton.  We’ll wiggle our way to Occidental, take the scenic route to Bodega, then hang a communal left onto Highway 1.  Hanging a right off the highway and toward some fresh new backroads asphalt, we’ll roll past Dillon Beach and into Tomales around 1pm, where we’ll take a 30-45 minute snack/coffee break from our saddles.

We’ll mount up and roll north along Hwy 1, past Bodega then head inland toward Sebastopol where the PostMods will spring for a fuel-up for every rider in the group.  Occidental Road will return us safely to Santa Rosa no later than 3:30pm that afternoon.

Don’t forget to bring a bit of cash for our monthly raffle drawing — late fall is upon us, when the fair weather opportunities to ride get a bit spotty.  This month’s $5 raffle shall be a Battery Tender Jr. brand battery charger to keep your trusty scoot’s battery properly topped off all year.

    WIN OUR $5 RAFFLE
THE POSTMODS ARE GIVING AWAY A NEW BATTERY TENDER 110v WALL CHARGER TO HELP WINTERIZE YOUR SCOOTER-

This Sunday, Oct 4th, IS STILL ON!! (sort of)

    IT’S WILDFIRE SEASON.

Please note that local firefighters and first responders are battling the Napa Valley Glass Fire at the time of this newsletter’s publication.  We are sensitive to the volatile nature of Northern California’s wildfire season, and will keep every RSVP’d rider informed and up-to-date of any changes, route updates or cancellations.

    THE POSTMODS ARE KICKING OFF
    THE FALL RIDING SEASON!
    !

    9:15am – 1pm
    Sunday, October 4th

This weekend marks our First Sunday of the Month Group Ride for October and with any luck, we’ll still be able to get outside to enjoy some well-deserved Fall weather.  The first 25 scooterists to RSVP for the ride should arrive fueled up, fully caffeinated and alert, and should bring a bottle of water and a snack bar for pit stops.  We ask that everyone come equipped with a mask and observe proper socially distancing protocols when off their scooters.  Riders shall meet no later than 9:15am in the  clubhouse (Revolution Moto) parking lot, with kickstands promptly up at 9:30.

    ROUTE CHANGE!

    We’re Dusting Off a Classic…

The revised route is a combination of faster-paced highway riding along River Road and Westside Road, slower-paced backroad twisties like West Dry Creek Road, and everything in between.  Total ride time shall be about 60 miles and about 2-1/2 hours in the saddle.  This month’s ride is still intended for the more adventurous yet safe for any skill level– advanced beginners to intermediates to seasoned riders are encouraged to RSVP for this weekend’s group ride.

RSVP FOR NEXT SUNDAY’S GROUP RIDE

Riders will roll out of town by way of Old Redwood Hwy, bearing a left onto River Road and riding westward to Westside Road.  We’ll scoot along the Russian River until the outskirts of Healdsburg, when we’re gonna hang a left of West Dry Creek Road for some truly breathtaking scenic twisties.  We’ll roll into the parking lot of Dry Creek General store around 10:30-11am and post up for a 45-minute respite from our saddles.  Everyone is encouraged to grab a coffee & a ridiculous blueberry scone, grab a take-out salad or sandwich for an impromptu picnic on the General Store’s ample porch, or simply bask in the company of your fellow scooterists.

After our break, we’ll scoot thru downtown Healdsburg and take to the east side of the Russian River as we ride southward for home.  We’ll plan to have the group safe and sound and back to Santa Rosa no later than 1pm this Sunday, before the air quality index peaks and the afternoon winds kick up another daily dose of the routine smoke and wildfire doom and gloom.
