PostMods MEMBERS & FUTURE MEMBERS WELCOME
Happy New Year fellow scooterists!
The PostMods are ringing in the new year on Sunday, January 5th with a potluck dinner co-hosted by Revolution Moto. Are you not yet a member but interested in joining the PostMods? You are cordially invited to this MEMBERS ONLY EVENT, and everyone is invited to bring a favorite dish to share with the group.
NO RIDE THIS MONTH, JUST A CLUB MEETING TO PLAN FOR 2020!!
As the PostMods’ Director of Membership and Recruitment, it is my sincerest honor to give voice to the club’s hopes and aspirations for 2020. While we sit down to a nice meal together, I shall introduce members to the upcoming elections taking place in the first week of March (see below). I’ll present a progress report for this year’s fundraiser raffle and plans for the final push in selling the remaining $50 raffle tickets for the brand new Vespa GTS300.
The meeting’s itinerary shall focus on the new year’s riding season, upcoming club events and most importantly, filling up the monthly ride calendar for the 2020 season. I ask that everyone be sure to bring with them plenty of great ride route ideas, destinations of interest and any fun ideas y’all may have for group outings in and around Sonoma’s wine country.
The PostMods elections shall take place from March 1st – March 8th, shall be held remotely via an ElectionRunner app with online voting, and every current club member shall get to cast a vote for the following office openings, and others as requested:
Have anyone in mind that you’d like to nominate for a leadership role? Want to throw your hat in the ring for a position you see above, or have you a role in mind that you don’t see listed here? Please email Admin@PostModsSC.com and get on the upcoming election ballot!
RSVP’s are required and very much appreciated by Thursday, January 2nd, so we can discuss who’s bringing what and how many folks we need to feed. Once the headcount is determined, I’ll email all participants a menu breakdown.
We’ll need to rent tables and chairs for the club meeting, so if any of you have a connection at a local business/club/church from whom we might be able to rent or borrow, please email me straight away!
While there shall be NO GROUP RIDE PLANNED IN JANUARY 2020, current and future PostModsters are encouraged to share with the group your favorite routes, backroads and destinations.
Want to join the club? See Pete on or before the Sunday meeting for all the deets!! Text or call him at 707.293.3101
This January, the PostMods Scooter Squad is raffling off a set of FIVE VESPA GTS300 RAFFLE TICKETS, a prize WORTH $250! December 15th marks the last group ride of 2019 and, rain or shine, Revolution Moto shall be hosting this year’s PostMods Festival of Lights from 5-10pm. Pack all the battery-powered lights your scooter can carry, bring your favorite decorations and make your way to Revolution Moto to don your ride with festive finery from 5-6pm. There will be refreshments, raffle prizes, and judging for the best decorated scooter begins at 6pm.
DECORATION begins SHARPLY at 5pm
JUDGING begins at 6pm for
MOST FESTIVE SCOOTER!
Prizes shall be awarded for MOST FESTIVE SCOOTER, BEST THEMED DECORATION / COSTUME, BEST USE OF LIGHTS and more. Riders are not required to decorate their scooters and can join the ride skipping all the decorating, but what would be the fun in that??
At 6:30pm sharp, the group mounts up for a nighttime scooter ride on a hunt to find some of Santa Rosa’s most scenic and dimly lit side streets, then we’ll wind our way back to STEELE AND HOPS by 8pm for dinner. The PostMods shall be buying dinner for everyone, club members and non-members alike!!
In the event of rain on Sunday Dec.15th, we’ll simply skip the decorating and the ride, jumping straight to dinner with an official meet-up at Steele and Hops at 8pm. The ride’s organizers will make “the weather call” on the weekend of the event, and will send out a confirmation email to everyone who has reserved a spot on the ride.
All rider experience levels are welcome to join this month’s group ride, from newbie to seasoned veteran. Our route shall consist of only in-town side streets and citywide speed limits, perfect for those who prefer to avoid fast-paced scootering events. ONLY THE FIRST 40 SCOOTERISTS TO RSVP MAY RIDE WITH THE GROUP!!
Stay tuned on Instagram this week for more upcoming news and gift ideas from RevMoto 2.0. We have lots of thoughtful one-of-a-kind gifts for the scooterist on your holiday shopping list this season!
Revolution Moto is a proud sponsor of the PostMods Scooter Squad. As a co-founder of the PostMods social club in 2015, it seemed only natural that RevMoto would become the new PostMods global headquarters once Pete Surber became RevMoto’s new owner in April 2019. Throughout 2020, we shall strive to grow the club thru monthly group rides, public and private events, social outreach and volunteerism.
This year, we are thankful that the majority of our friends and families were spared from the wildfire disaster up north. Many of you inquired about whether or not the PostMods would be riding this month, as the Kincade Fire dashed our hopes of hosting our usual FIRST Sunday of the Month Group Ride. Fear not, fellow scooterists, we’re making up for it on Sunday, November 24th!
Join us and give thanks this holiday season as RevMoto hosts our monthly scooter ride, this time taking the opportunity to ride some of our favorite back roads that were luckily spared from the 2019 wildfires. The group will meet here at Revolution Moto as early as 11am, convene for a pre-ride safety meeting at 11:20, with kickstands up at 11:30 am SHARP. We’ll point our scooters northward along Old Redwood Highway, then westward along River Road bound for Westside Road. The scootering fun really starts as we turn our scoots onto West Dry Creek Road, where the twisties get narrower, the vineyards more colorful, and the foliage even more breathtaking. We’ll post up along Geyserville’s diminutive main street for lunch at Diavola Pizzeria and Salumeria by 1pm.
With bellies filled with wood-fire oven pizza, fresh seafood and tasty pastas, we’ll head east and southward along Hwy 128 toward Jimtown and count our many blessings as we scoot along the precious Chalk Hill Road toward Windsor, where the myriad farms and family homes were spared from the Kincade Fire. Once again rolling along Old Redwood Highway, we’ll plan to reach Revolution Moto no later than 4 or 4:30 that afternoon.
NEARLY every rider experience level is welcome to join this month’s group ride, though we might recommend the inexperienced newbie scooterists/ city-only rider sit this one out. Our route consists of unhurried twisty back roads throughout the 65 mile ride, and the group shall be taking our sweet time to really soak in the breathtaking scenery. You need not be a seasoned veteran rider, but please choose those rides which best align with your comfort level.
ONLY THE FIRST 25 SCOOTERISTS TO RSVP MAY RIDE WITH THE GROUP!!
RevMoto 2.0 is a proud sponsor of local scootering social club, the PostMods Scooter Squad, originating out of San Francisco and now fully represented here in wine country.
Coin-carrying PostModsters will enjoy lunch courtesy of the PostMods.

This month, the PostMods Scooter Squad is raffling off a 25oz. H2Go powder-coated stainless steel insulated water bottle from the Dry Creek General Store featuring highlights from Sonoma County! $5 tickets go on sale at 11am that day, winner shall be drawn at lunch and all proceeds go toward our not-for-profit scootering social club.
Join us this Sunday as we host our monthly scooter ride, once again taking advantage of some of Sonoma County’s gorgeous wine country back roads. The group will meet here at Revolution Moto at 10am for a pre-ride safety meeting, with kickstands up at 10:30 am sharp. We’ll point our scooters southeasterly along Bennett Valley Road to Sonoma Mtn. Road. We’ll scoot past Crane Creek Regional Park on Presley Road, zoom past the Sonoma State campus, and wriggle our way thru Rohnert Park’s Foxtail links en route to Scandia Family Fun Center, play a little putt-putt from 11:30-1:30 then lunch at Bear Republic Brewing Company and return no later than 4pm that afternoon.
It’s Halloween season and this month’s ride is your best chance to bust out your favorite (scootering- and mini-golf-friendly) Halloween costumes — decorate your scooter, don your scariest zombie attire, and/or strap a jack-o-lantern onto your passenger seat for this month’s ride!!
October’s ride marks the 6th month of RevMoto2.0‘s First Sunday of the Month Group Rides and to celebrate, we’re dismounting our bikes for a bit and taking to the (mini) links. Get acquainted with your fellow scooterists as we break into teams, enjoy a little friendly competition, and get to know the other members of our 2-wheeled community.
All rider experience levels are welcome to join this month’s group ride, from newbie to seasoned veteran. Our route shall be EXCLUSIVELY slow twisty back roads, perfect for those who prefer to avoid fast-paced scootering events. ONLY THE FIRST 25 SCOOTERISTS TO RSVP MAY RIDE WITH THE GROUP!!
RevMoto and the PostMods want you to have a safe and enjoyable Sunday afternoon, and will be offering free home delivery following lunch if you’d like to have a few beers at Bear Republic after golfing. Get a Lyft home and let us deliver your scoot safe and sound

Join us this Labor Day Sunday as RevMoto hosts our monthly scooter ride, this time taking advantage of Napa County’s twisty St. Helena Road. The group will meet here at Revolution Moto at 10am for a pre-ride safety meeting, with kickstands up at 10:30 am sharp. We’ll point our scooters northward toward Fountaingrove Parkway, then eastward toward Montecito bound for Calistoga Road. We’ll ride a short distance along Calistoga before hanging a right onto St. Helena Road.
The redwood tree-lined St. Helena Road leads us to Gott’s Roadside for lunch, and following an hour hiatus off our scoots for the best burgers and fries in Napa County, we’ll ride north along Highway 128 to Calistoga. Rolling thru town, we’ll hang a left bound for Santa Rosa along Calistoga Road and return home no later than 2:30/3:00pm that afternoon.
MOST rider experience levels are welcome to join this month’s group ride, though we might recommend the inexperienced newbie scooterists sit this one out. St. Helena Road is a bit rough n ‘goaty’ for the first few miles, and the intermittent tree coverage can make for some rather difficult sun-to-shadow-to-sun-again contrasting, making safe riding a bit more challenging. Our route consists of unhurried twisty back roads until we leave Gott’s, at which point we’ll be traveling to Calistoga at speeds reaching 55mph. You need not be a seasoned veteran rider, but please choose those rides which best align with your comfort level.
ONLY THE FIRST 25 SCOOTERISTS TO RSVP MAY RIDE WITH THE GROUP!!
