Happy Holidays, fellow scooterists!
Winter is always jam-packed with holiday parties and end-of-year social events, but if there’s one NOT-TO-BE-MISSED event this holiday season, it’s this year’s Annual Festival of Lights Group Ride! We’ll be revisiting a crowd favorite from years past, crossing the Golden Gate and riding the Tiburon Loop. Afterward, we’ll be posting up somewhere warm n cozy for dinner and post-ride shenanigans!
We’ve secured our old stomping grounds at Cars Dawydiak (former home of Vespa San Francisco) for a warm, well-lit spot to decorate our scooters before we hit the city decked out in our Festival finest. We’ll be down the ramp in the lower level parking area, and scooter decorating will commence sharply at 5pm, with judging and prizes to be awarded from 6:30-7pm.
Kickstands up at 7pm sharp, bound for the Golden Gate Bridge. Once into Sausalito, we’ll hit up the dimly lit twisty backroads of Tiburon, looping our way back toward San Francisco and stopping (destination to be announced) for dinner.
Regardless of where the group posts up for dinner, we’ll be sure to get everyone, from the most experienced rider to the complete newbie, back across the bridge safe and sound by the end of the night.
Please RSVP no later than one week before the event, either via email response (Admin@PostMods-SF.com) or on our Facebook event page. This will allow the planning committee to finalize reservations, mobilize a team of fellow riders to help shepherd the (hopefully) dozens of riders thru the city, and to procure kick-ass prizes to be awarded for best decorated scooter and best costume. More details will follow shortly.
As many of you know, I relocated to Brooklyn in May 2017 and it’s been especially hard having to miss out on all the fun this summer/fall. I’ll be returning home to San Francisco for this annual crowd pleaser and shall be leading the group as this year’s SQUAD LEADER, and it would mean a lot to me if you could all join me for this year’s Festival of Lights!!
Hoping to see each of you there!!
